Rooted in the local community – and helping people.
Founded by a group of Stoughton businessmen, Stoughton Co-Operative Bank is a mutual co-operative banking institution owned by our members. In March of 1886, when we first opened our doors on Freeman Street, we did so with a simple mission: to provide high-value banking services to help local people succeed.

In December of 1952, we built on that promise, opening a branch at 20 Park Street, the former site of the Chicataubut Club, and eventually opening our main office at 950 Park Street in February of 1989. Though we’ve grown considerably since then, with assets of over $111 million and a full line of personal and business banking services, our mission remains the same.

Our commitment to knowing and serving each and every customer and to making sound financial decisions has allowed us to continue to be independent and here for our customers. It’s also allowed us to be a good neighbor and to give back to support our hometown community in a variety of ways – from sponsorships of local events to charitable donations and employee volunteers for non-profit organizations.
